Stuffed Bell Peppers My Way.

These are definitely the best stuffed bell peppers I've ever made.

That might be due to the fact that I've always winged it and
I actually looked at a recipe this go around.

Turns out tomato sauce is the key.
Most people probably already knew that, though.

Since Taylor grocery shopped with me,
we bought red, yellow, and orange bell peppers.
Had I been alone,
I would have bought the cheap green bell peppers.

I'm glad Taylor was there.
Red, yellow and orange bell peppers are worth the extra cost.
.5 lb of ground turkey cooked with onion and garlic
1 cup cooked brown rice
worstershire sauce
salt/pepper
parsley
1 can tomato sauce
3 bell peppers cut in half lengthwise

1. Preheat oven to 350.
 2. Mix first 6 ingredients.
3. Arrange bell pepper halves in a baking dish.
4. Stuff and cover peppers with the mixture.
5. Loosely cover with foil.
6. Bake until peppers are fork tender.

This dish was so tasty
we didn't even miss the
obligatory layer of cheddar cheese.

Delicious.

Thanks Laura! I'm currently making my grocery list and going through your blog for inspiration. You know I rarely cook, esp. anything that was not frozen first! <3 you!
