The humble fitted diaper.

Some days I feel a little sorry for the fitted diapers of the world.
It's like they are the red-headed stepchild of the cloth diaper family.

Mamas want ease when it comes to cloth diapering
and the internet convinces us nothing is easier than a pocket dipe or an all-in-one.

But, I'm not so sure about this.....I love fitted diapers and I think you should too.

Fitteds are not fussy like pockets and AIOs.
Without microfiber or fleece to worry with and as long as the fitted is contained within the cover,
fitteds are guaranteed leakproof diapers.

Always a good thing.

I dare you to find me a mama who has not had a spate of leaks with her pockets.
If she exists, maybe she can come and fix my leaky pocket diapers....

Fitteds comes in lots of cute prints.

Magic mushrooms AND bacon and eggs?
Yes, please.

Yes, they do need a cover or mama is going to have a damp lap but...........

Fitteds go wonderfully with wool diaper covers and
a cute wool diaper cover makes everything right in this crazy world.

If you do not know the joys of wool, trust me.
Wool makes life better.

And fitted diapers deserve wool.

It's a win-win.

Fitteds really are wonderful, and leak free. I love them! So nice when you want to let the air flow more freely, too. You have some pretty awesome prints :)

Melissa, I also like how you can go cover free around the house and catch the first pee too so nobody is sitting around in a wet diaper. I'm regretting not taking pictures of all my cute prints....maybe another post for another day :)

Mommy Bird, they are lovely!

Our main system is the Kissaluvs hybrid contour/fitted. I like them so much more than my pockets (of which I have four, for babysitters) that I am willing to use a snappi. Every day. Second in line are our prefolds. Love them. I just love washing the heck our of cotton! -Katie Lamb

I love it! What a paean to fitteds, which I admit I know little about even though I have a few.

Would you be willing to lend some of your marvelous pictures to the NPN cloth diapering book? If you are, you can email me: lauren {at} naturalparentsnetwork {dot} com If not, I'll just enjoy them from afar. :)

Start by buying whatever you can get cheap and used from a mama on @Fluff Swappers on Facebook.  My entire stash is from there.  It was a compulsion I had to end because all I did was stalk that damn page for cheap diapers.

Hmmm.  I have a couple of Kissa contours I never used because I don't like Snappies.  I think they are Mediums.  I assume that is too little for your big little one and your little big one though.  And, yes, cotton is definitely the best for washing!

Emailing you :)  Thanks!
